Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Sole Agency?

Fox Casting is a Sole Agency. A Sole Agency is an agent that represents you, but you cannot be signed to another agents books at the same time, this is because there can be a conflict if you have multiple agents and they are all putting you forward for the same roles. You could end up being liable for paying both agents fees for a job. A Sole agent works harder for their clients best interests.

Can I have more than one agent?

In short … no.

If you are registered with Fox Casting you can’t have another agent, we are a Sole Agency. See the questing above on Sole Agencies for more details.

What do I need to apply to be represented by Fox Casting?

Initially send us an email with a brief description about your experience or a CV, along with a headshot and full length image. We will then contact you if we feel we can represent you and help further your career. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience in the industry, we all have to start somewhere and Fox Casting is all about nurturing talent. We are always looking for Supporting Artistes (Extras). Do tell us about any skills you have; singing, dancing, driving, musician, model, comedian, artist, sports, fire eater… you get the idea, these can all be useful skills to have when we are casting for productions.

Why haven’t I had an audition yet?

There can be a number of reasons you haven’t had an audition yet, Fox Casting only put actors and supporting cast forward from jobs that suit the brief from the client/production company. We can’t put everyone forward, the whole point of an agent is to promote you for the roles that you are suited to. We provide the Casting Director with a shortlist of those artistes that best fit their requirements, otherwise we could be wasting the production and your time. We have your best interest at heart. Be patient, acting is a very competitive industry.

Can I cancel a job?

NO. As per our terms and conditions, once you have put yourself forward you have expressed an interest in the details of the job provided to you.

Fox Casting will always represent you professionally and fight for the best rates on jobs for you, you in turn are required to represent Fox Casting professionally on jobs, being punctual, respectful, helpful and friendly on set.

Obviously everyone occasionally has a serious reason why they can’t work, but informing us in advance of the job is professional and courteous.
